The Benno Boost is an “Etility” cargo e-bike designed to carry heavy loads without sacrificing the speed, manoeuvrability, and feel of a regular bicycle. Whether you are hauling groceries, doing the school run, or just exploring the neighbourhood, this bike is available for you to borrow for a two-week period.
High Payload Capacity: The Boost is built to carry more than three times the load of a typical bike. It has a maximum gross weight capacity of 200 kg (440 lbs).
Versatile Rear Rack: The sturdy rear rack can be configured to carry up to two compatible child seats, a large rear basket, or heavy-duty pannier bags.
Smooth Ride Dynamics: With its midsize 24-inch custom puncture-resistant tyres, the bike offers a low centre of gravity, a smooth ride, and excellent balance even when fully loaded.
Step-Through Frame: Easy to mount and dismount, which is especially helpful when balancing heavy cargo or children on the back.
Motor: Powered by an industry-leading Bosch mid-drive electric motor (up to 85Nm torque) to help you easily flatten hills.
Top Assisted Speed: The motor provides pedal assistance up to 25 km/h.
Battery Range: Depending on the assist mode, terrain, and cargo weight, expect a range of roughly 50 to 130 km on a single charge.
Charging: The battery can be easily removed for charging indoors or charged directly on the bike. A 50% charge takes about 1.7 hours, while a full charge takes around 4.5 hours.
Display: Equipped with a Bosch Purion on-board computer featuring 5 distinct riding modes (including walk-assist).
Borrowing Period: This bike is available for a strict two-week loan period to ensure all community members get a turn.
Battery Charging: Please ensure the battery is fully charged before returning it to the library.
Safety First: Always wear a helmet, check tyre pressure before riding, and securely fasten any cargo or passengers before taking off.
